How Much Does a Staffing Agency Charge?
Types of Payment Structure
Recruiters typically get paid in one of two ways:
This is when the recruiter is paid a percentage of the candidate’s first-year salary, usually around 15-30%. Contingency fees are typically paid by the employer and are only paid if the recruiter successfully places a candidate with the company.
This is when the recruiter is paid an upfront fee for their services, which is usually a percentage of the total expected cost of the search. The retainer fee is paid regardless of whether or not the recruiter can place a candidate and is usually paid in installments throughout the search process.
